Each time, a reoccurring nightmare followed her wherever she went--until the day that the frightening figures haunting her at night became all too real. When news of a serial killer spreads throughout her new school, Elle worries that the Reaper has been leaving her his calling card in the form of cigarette butts on her doormat and an unusual ribbon in her locker. With the help of Brian, a boy she meets at a flea market, she discovers that this isn't her first encounter with the murderer and that her father has been concealing her true identity for the past twelve years. But despite her father's desperate attempts to protect her, Elle still comes face to face with the darkness she has been running from her whole life. Trapped in the woods and with help hundreds of miles away, will Elle be able to confront the Reaper and reclaim the life she lost?

Review:
Let me start off by saying I have a love/hate relationship with mystery or thriller kind of stuff. I hate the anxiety but love the story line. This is one of the hardest reviews I have had to write because everything I want to say is full of spoilers.

Elle has moved from town to town so for her senior year of high school she asks her dad if she can stay at one school. He is a insurance agent so he constantly has to travel around. Right before school starts her roommate Pixie decides they should go on a road-trip where Elle ends up meeting gorgeous Brian. When school starts she comes face to face with this gorgeous guy but he doesn't act the same way.

Elle has been plagues with nightmares for as long as she can remember so she hopes by facing her fears and sticking around, she will finally be able to move on. The nightmares bring paranoia and gripping fear. A rumor starts floating around that there is a serial killer on the loose in the area so when she feels she is being followed, her every nightmare feel like they are coming to life. Her dad taught her to question everything and be aware of her surrounding so begins to be suspicious of everyone and tries to figure out who could be following her.

Not knowing who to trust and why certain people seem to pop up out of no where, Elle starts to think she is loosing her mind. When she starts to question her sanity, her nightmares come true except worst..

This book was incredible! It was a digging your nails into the seat or biting your nails off kind of suspense. When you think you are finally figuring it all out, BOOM the unthinkable happens and your left questioning everything all over again. This may sound weird but Elle reminds me of myself so I really understood what she was feeling. I never expected this book to go the way it did and that made it even better. It was written awesomely and the best part is there was still a love story involved.

I tell people to read a book all the time but this time I am so serious. You need to go get this book asap. You won't regret it. Trust me.
